The teen drama Riverdale is based on characters from the Archie Comics. The series takes place in the small town of Riverdale, where nothing is what it seems behind the facades. Main character Archie Andrews (K.J. Apa) attends Riverdale Highschool and simply can’t decide between Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes). While the smart Betty has long raved about Archie, the self-confident Veronica has just moved from New York to Riverdale.

Archie (K. J. Apa) As one of the main characters, Archie is almost always the focus. He is friendly to everyone, but still prefers to be with his close circle of friends. He is part of the Riverdale High Bulldogs and plays football very successfully, even if he would sometimes rather play on his guitar. Archie is a little gullible and loyal as a dog. Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols) Hermione is a strong, confident woman. After her husband was arrested for fraud and embezzlement and has to go to jail, she and her daughter Veronica move to the only residence that is still given under her name. This one is in her hometown of Riverdale and with her move all old memories come back. She now works as a waitress in a diner where her old high school friend, Fred Andrews, offers her a job in his construction company. She likes to enjoy the luxury and power that she is able to live out thanks to her company. Even if the marriage to her husband Hiram Lodge is not exemplary, the two make a good business team and can hardly be seen alone. She can be very manipulative when it comes to getting things done and honesty is secondary to her as long as she gets what she wants.

Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) Kevin is a very open person, he enjoys talking to other people and is loyal to his best friend Betty. He is very lively, charismatic and knows the small town very well. His direct and honest manner can sometimes be perceived as unkind and mean, but that is not his intention. Since he does not have the same opportunities as his friends with his sexual orientation in Riverdale, he is often on the road and tends to act a little more recklessly. His father is the Riverdale Sheriff and Kevin often has to listen to what the locals have to say about him. But, he stands behind his father and supports him in his decisions. Frank Gallagher (William H. It’s a shame, one of the best series ever. But you have to say that since Emmy Rossum is no longer there, a lot of the fascination has been missing, the series was no longer the same, and the most annoying of all family members have installed her as a substitute overmother. A bad substitute, because with Debbie her unscrupulousness, her selfishness and self-centeredness left me shaking my head and ashamed of others. For example the way she got pregnant, and wanted to get pregnant permanently, that was just sick and seriously disturbed, Debbie regularly behaved like a real sociopath. Ok, Karl is a madman too, but a different caliber, with Karl you always had to laugh too, he had a black sense of humor that forgave a lot. Karl never really manages anything, but gets along well with it. At least a great series and it’s a shame.

It’s a shame the series is coming to an end. This is one of the few shows that hasn’t faded over time. I also liked the last season without Fiona, although I was a bit skeptical. The only thing that always made me a little sad was that the Gallagers always got hit when you thought they’d make it this time. I would have given them a little luck so much. But in that case the series would have ended, so it couldn’t be. Maybe they’ll all finally get their happy endings in the final season. That’s fine, because you should stop when it’s best. At least the series doesn’t have to die a slow serial death.

It’s a shame, one of the best series ever. But you have to say that since Emmy Rossum is no longer there, a lot of the fascination has been missing, the series was no longer the same, and the most annoying of all family members have installed her as a substitute overmother. A bad substitute, because with Debbie her unscrupulousness, her selfishness and self-centeredness left me shaking my head and ashamed of others. For example the way she got pregnant, and wanted to get pregnant permanently, that was just sick and seriously disturbed, Debbie regularly behaved like a real sociopath. Ok, Karl is a madman too, but a different caliber, with Karl you always had to laugh too, he had a black sense of humor that forgave a lot. Karl never really manages anything, but gets along well with it. At least a great series and it’s a shame.

It’s a shame the series is coming to an end. This is one of the few shows that hasn’t faded over time. I also liked the last season without Fiona, although I was a bit skeptical. The only thing that always made me a little sad was that the Gallagers always got hit when you thought they’d make it this time. I would have given them a little luck so much. But in that case the series would have ended, so it couldn’t be. Maybe they’ll all finally get their happy endings in the final season. That’s fine, because you should stop when it’s best. At least the series doesn’t have to die a slow serial death.

December 2020, the series «The Stand» will appear on CBS All Access, which is an adaptation of the novel «The Stand» — one of the most highly rated in the output of Stephen King. The horror master worked on the script of one of the episodes of the series. What is the series «The Stand» about? The creators reached for a novel whose plot sounds familiar. Chills go down the spine when reading the description. The Albatros publishing house, which published this book in Poland, summarizes its content as follows: All it takes is a computer error in the Ministry of Defense laboratory. First comes the epidemic. Then dreams come … It begins innocently — with a common cold. Someone sneezed, someone died and suddenly the Earth becomes a mass grave. The few who survived begin to have visions to show them the way. Everyone has to make a choice and follow their own path. In 2020, reading this description evokes clear associations with the coronavirus pandemic. Perhaps the creators will refer to the current events, because the script of the final episode was written by Stephen King himself, and the ending of the series is to be different from that known from the pages of the novel published in 1978. The production is made for the CBS station. The first episode will hit the library of CBS All Access streaming service on December 17. The next ones will be released every week on Thursdays for a total of nine. There is no information yet whether the series will appear in Poland. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for this to happen, because «The Stand» promises to be very interesting. The creators gathered an interesting cast. This will be the second screening of the novel «The Stand». The previous one was created in 1994 as a four-episode miniseries. Gary Sinise, known as Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump, starred. The series was well received — on Imdb.com it has an average rating of 7.2 / 10, and in Rotten Tomatoes — 70 percent. positive reviews from critics and 65 percent. positive user reviews. The dystopian story of Stephen King has already seen one series adaptation — the four-episode 1994 miniseries «The Stand» aired on ABC. The production was warmly received by critics and won two Primetime Emmy Awards out of six nominations.

This time, the adaptation of «The Stand» was handled by CBS All Access, which spent tens of millions of dollars on the 10-episode series «The Stand» by Josh Boone («New Mutants», «Our Wine Stars») and Ben Cavell («Justified «,» Homeland «).
