At the end of the first season we left Mando and the child when the two left the planet Nevarro, while Cara and Greef stayed on it. Both storylines will most likely resume in Season 2: Mando will try to find out more about the child and his access to power, Kara and Greef will probably start a new bounty hunter guild. But the four don’t stay separate for too long, as the new trailer reveals.

Moff Gideon has placed himself as the villain of the series, who at the end of season 1 not only survived the crash from the TIE fighter, but also turned out to be the bearer of the dark sword. We already saw this legendary weapon of the Mandalorians in the animated Star Wars series. We’ll see him again in season 2.

How many episodes season 2 of «The Mandalorian» will have is not known at this point in time. The number will probably be based on the first season — this had eight episodes. We suspect that season 2 will be between 6 and 12 episodes.

Michael Biehn is also there, who is supposed to play a bounty hunter. He is best known as Kyle Reese from the first «Terminator» movie. There are also rumors that Rosario Dawson will play Ahsoka Tano — a former student of Anakin Skywalker.

Fans of the series could breathe a sigh of relief: Fortunately, filming for the second season could already be completed before the studios’ production stops in March. So the start of «The Mandalorian» didn’t have to be postponed.

The vast sand dunes of Tatooine are best explored on a speederbike. However, one should avoid the Tusken robbers, also called sand people. They mostly cause trouble. Tip: If you should meet the bandits with protective goggles and breathing masks, it is best to voluntarily hand over an object of value.

The Jawas (see Arvala 7) are also at home on Tatooine. Of course, they too can be appeased with valuables, provided the Tusken have left something.

The fauna on Tatooine includes the banthas, huge, furry mammals with spiral-shaped horns, which are often used as riding and pack animals. Don’t worry, if you leave them alone they are no danger. They are pure herbivores. Every now and then you can see herds living in the wild.

Sights on the planet include Jabba’s Palace at the very edge of the Sea of ​​Dunes, as well as the Great Pit of Carkoon, which is home to the Sarlacc, a voracious creature that lives underground. The latter should be viewed with great care, because if you fall into the pit, the Sarlaccss’s gripping arms quickly pull you into your mouth.

A highlight not to be missed on Tatooine is the sunset. Because here two suns, Tatoo I and Tatoo II, ensure a beautiful, red sky spectacle, as Luke Skywalker experienced in his younger years before he finally got wanderlust.

It will be very exciting to see where the Mandalorian and the child are going in the second season, which enemies they have to face and where they can find new allies.
