The Lost Tapes II is the fifth album of American rapper Nas, whose premiere is scheduled for July 19, 2019 year. This is a continuation of the disc The Lost Tapes released in 2002. The Lost Tapes II contains unreleased songs from the last four albums of Us: Hip Hop Is Dead (2006), Untitled (2008) and Life Is Good (2012). It includes, among others, the production of producers such as RZA, Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, No I.D., Pete Rock and The Alchemist. In 2002, Nas released The Lost Tapes, compiling previously unpublished songs that were discarded from recording sessions for studio albums Nas, I Am … (1999) and Stillmatic (2001). The next compilation, The Lost Tapes 2, was originally to be released on December 16, 2003. It includes unpublished recordings, remixes and freestyle songs. However, its release was delayed, and in 2006, Nas signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings. In an interview with Hot 97.5 KVEG of June 2010. He said the continuation of The Lost Tapes: «I have a lot of songs that do not really created any album, it’s just sittin’y or lost.
